The Australian Federation of Ukrainian Organisations (AFUO) has launched the Defend Ukraine Appeal (formerly fund “U-Help”), Australia’s largest community-run fundraising effort for non-lethal military aid for Ukraine. Donations to the Defend Ukraine Appeal U-HELP program will provide vital aid to Ukraine’s Armed Forces and territorial defence units. Support may include:

• Transport vehicles: second-hand off-road vehicles that assist with medical evacuations, transport of personnel and logistics;
• Protective Gear: helmets, bulletproof vests, gloves, footwear, thermal clothing and sleeping bags;
• Life-Saving Equipment: first aid kits, generators, two-way radios, thermal imaging devices, night vision goggles and surveillance equipment enable effective communication and enhanced situational awareness.

Defend Ukraine Appeal only supplies non-lethal equipment. Donated funds will not be used for purchasing arms.
